I am a holder of an MBA degree in Finance, a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting, a certified public accountant (CPA-K) and a certified public secretary (CPS-K), a post graduate certificate in management leadership and Diplôme d'études en langue Française (level 5) with 13 years’ experience in project operations, accounting and finance.

Currently, working in LVCT Health I am the Senior Finance Officer of the USAID Stawisha Pwani Program (having acted as the Finance Manager during start up of the Program for 10 Months) which is a five-year award designed to Increase the use of quality county-led health services in four Coastal counties by strengthening county health systems with a focus on HIV Prevention & Treatment, Family Planning, Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (FP/ RMNCAH) and Nutrition. My duties and responsibilities include but not limited to;  Preparation and analysis of COP Budgets and Budget Narratives and rolling forecasts, Ensuring effective project financial management and reporting systems are in place to manage compliant and efficient project spending against donor budgets, Preparing all required periodic Financial reports; Monthly financial reports, quarterly accrual reports, Monthly Cash advance requests, Monthly Program area burn rates. Preparation of the fund balance representation, preparation and submission of expenditure analysis reports, approval of payments, managing accounts payables and deposit accounts, authenticating source documents for all financial transactions, documenting gaps in ERP and discussing proposed solutions, Overseeing cash management and payment through the M-Pesa platform and through the bank, ensuring submission of statutory deductions, coordinating with internal and external auditors in completing audits, reviewing budgets and expenditures for donations, contracts, co-operative agreements and grants, managing and overseeing sub-awardees and preparation of cost share reports. 

I have in depth knowledge of USAID projects, financial regulations, compliance including cost principles and reporting, relevant knowledge of ERP Navision. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. Knowledge of Kenyan Law affecting financial transactions. Strong quantitative skills with superior attention to detail and numerical accuracy, strong analytical and conceptual skills with ability to interpret data, assess issues, develop sound conclusions and formulate remedial measures. Ability to manage complex tasks, deal with rapidly shifting priorities, provide professional support to senior staff, leading, guiding and supervising staff working in the finance and operations department, delivering against ambitious deadlines.
