Experience

November 2019-December 2020 - Data Clerk (AVSI Foundation Kenya) Key Responsibilities:

  • Map AVSI interventions using a GIS system.
  • Prepare geographic data for use in spatial analysis activities.
  • Ensure that all projects have the Operational Plan and M&E plan.
  • Prepare, compile, and sort documents for data entry.
  • Check source documents for accuracy, review data for discrepancies, and return incomplete for resolution.
  • Check completed work for accuracy before submitting it for analysis.
  • Support the MEAL officer in the analysis of surveys and data collection.

January 2021-December 2022 –Monitoring and evaluation Assistant (AVSI Foundation Kenya)

  • Assist in routine data collection and entry for various project interventions implemented in the field and ensure that complete, accurate, clean, and consistent data is shared with the M&E Officer for data analysis and action planning.
  • Ensure proper filing and storage of M&E documents including questionnaires, monitoring reports, datasets, among others.
  • Participate in regular data verification and audit exercises to assess the quality of data reported and address any anomalies identified.
  • Submit to the M&E Officer weekly and monthly updates on M&E activities conducted in the field.
  • With support from the M&E Officer, conduct capacity building and mentorship to field staff in M&E.
  • Keep the M&E database up-to-date and support program staff prepare periodic high-quality reports.
  • Assist program staff during survey planning and implementation especially preparing logistics needed, and participating in data collection and cleaning.
  • Develop project monitoring and evaluation tools with support from M&E Officer
  • Support project teams to prepare activity reports and documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and assessment reports.
  • Support the operation of feedback channels (logbook, client satisfaction and engagement surveys).
  • Support the recording of feedback, analyses, and accessibility of feedback data for programmatic decision-making.

Jan 2023 Meal Officer (AVSI Foundation Kenya)

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the technical design of the M &E system.
  • Lead in technical design and roll-out of AVSI M&ESystem in all projectsand ensure thatprogram the team is awareof and using the tools in place.
  • Conduct data qualityassessments (DQAs) on IP indicator
  • Contribute to the data collection by formulation of XLSforms for ODK and KOBO,storage, and analysis using Ms. Excel and SPSS.
  • Coordinating and conducting project evaluations and assessments and identifying opportunities to provide and present findings to colleagues to contribute to the decision-making and strategic planning process.
  • Conduct regular field visits for monitoring reasons.
  • Lead in project review in ensuring that project activities are runningas planned, documentation of project success, and documentation of results
  • Project analysis and report writing
  • Analyzing spatial data with mappingsoftware (ArcGIS, QGIS).
  • Designing digital maps with geographic data and other data sources.
  • Producing maps showingthe spatial distribution of various kinds of data
  • Conduct field visits togetherwith the MEAL officer
