    Description

    Summit Recruitment & Search was established in 2009 to address the recruitment, mass recruitment, executive search, outsourcing and training needs of companies based in Kenya or wanting to enter the Kenyan, East African, South African and African market.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage GIS data and geo-databases, including downloading, verifying, and processing geo-data layers for calibration and mapping projects.
    Develop and enhance Python and R scripts to automate GIS tasks and remove licensing barriers.

    Conduct geospatial modeling and data visualization using Python, R, and other tools to create maps and analyze spatial data.

    Collaborate on GitHub to develop and refine scripts for interpolation techniques and automation.
    Drive the development of the company's geospatial strategy by proposing technical solutions aligned with strategic goals.
    Contribute to the broader goals of the Data Science team and Crop Nutrition Laboratory Services.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor or Master's degree in GIS, data science, Agronomy, or related field.
    3-5 years of experience in GIS, mapping/geo-statistics using arcgis/qgis/python/R, preferably in agriculture.
    Experience with collaborative code development on GitHub and practical experience with geo databases.
    Knowledge of remote sensing applications and agronomy domain knowledge.
    Strong problem-solving, time management, and presentation skills
