Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA) is a regulatory body under the National Treasury, established under Retirement Benefits Act.The Retirement Benefits Act was enacted as part of the on-going reform process in the financial sector in order to bring the retirement benefits industry under a harmonized legislation, to address the many problems that have hitherto faced the industry.
The enactment of this Act filled a regulatory vacuum which had existed in Kenya.The mission of Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA)is to develop, safeguard and deliver value to the retirement benefits sector through excellence in service delivery.
Job PurposeResponsible for review of scheme operations, inspection, and enforcement of compliance.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: finance, law, economics, commerce, business administration, social security or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications; and,Fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution
Job Specifications
Participate in scheme inspections and preparation of reports.
Participate in the review of scheme operations and make recommendations.
Enforcing compliance.
Collecting and collating scheme enquiries and making recommendations for Management action; and
Participate in annual general meetings and other forums relating to the retirement benefits industry and preparing reports and action points for Management consideration.
