    Primary Duties And Responsibilities

    This consultancy role demands an organization or individual who is well versed in team building and organizational leadership and who can translate their knowledge into fun group activities and learning opportunities for the NMCP staff.

    Specifically, The Coach Will


    Conduct an assessment:

    the team building coach/facilitator will conduct interviews with a sample of participants to determine the organization culture, the operating environment, and the participants areas of concern to build a customized team-building program.


    Develop a customized program:

    the facilitator will then develop a program for NMCP where participants will participate in various training sessions that are tailored to address the identified focus areas from the assessment.


    Develop action plans:

    the actions plans will be derived through brainstorming and debrief sessions with participants who will also formulate goals, roles, responsibilities and strategies to improve the team spirit and collaboration within the program.

    Monitoring the success of the team building: At the end of the training session, the coach/facilitator will summarize the outcome of the team building sessions and provide a report of not more that 5 pages to the Head of NMCP.

    The Head of MNCP together with the section heads will track the progress of the team building session on a quarterly basis to ensure continuous improvement.

    Deliverables

    The level of effort required for the assignment is up-to 9 days. The consultant will be expected to deliver the following deliverables.

    Inception plan approved by PROPEL Health with a facilitation write up of the teambuilding methods and a description of each method.

    Conduct team building sessions for NMCP (3 afternoons). February , Days

    Team building outcome report with actions plans and timelines as agreed by the NMCP staff for the next six months.

    Review of the Action plan with NMCP post the team building activity. May 30, Day

    Total 9 Days

    The consultant will work closely with the PROPEL Health Kenya staff to execute the team building session.

    This may include identification of the participant needs, design the program that will respond to the team needs, schedule and implement the team building event in collaboration with NMCP head of program.

    PROPEL Health Kenya will support the consultant with all the logistics and preparatory materials to undertake the team building activities as well as provide the template for reporting.

    Provide project reporting templates and guidelines for use as may be required.

    Required Qualifications

    At least 10 years of demonstrated experience providing team building services for high performing teams.
    Include at least two profiles of the consultant (gender, style, experience).
    The consultant should demonstrate In-depth knowledge of team dynamics, cohesion and performance and the tools to be used.
    Possess relevant qualifications from recognized team building body or equivalent will be an added advantage.

    Evaluation Criteria
    The Technical Proposal – 70%

    Understanding of the requirements for Services

    Include any assumptions as well as comments on the services as indicated in the assignment overview, or as the bidder may otherwise believe to be necessary.

    A detailed outline of the leadership coaching process that your firm will follow.

    Proposed facilitators profiles (at least 2)

    The proposal must include bios of gender, style, relevant experience, and qualifications,
    At least 10 years of demonstrated experience providing team building services to professionals in the public service.
    Possess relevant qualifications & certification from recognized Institution.
    Written recommendation from references, with consideration given to similar experience in team building services (max 2).

    The Financial Proposal – 30%

    The bidder's cost outline must contain an overall quotation in KES.
    The Financial Proposal shall be confirming the following:


    The price:
    include tiered pricing (cost breakdown) based on the number of coaching sessions conducted.
    Inclusive of all relevant taxes
    Indicate Payment Terms
    The period of validity of the bid.

    Proposals must offer services for the total requirement. Proposals offering only part of the requirement will be rejected.

    Technical Monitor

    The consultant will report to and be supervised by the Country Project Director
