    Description

    Responsibilities

    • · Financial Reporting:
      • Responsible for weekly management performance reports.
      • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual statutory reporting tCMA and CBK format reporting tGroup.
      • Provide oversight on GL reconciliations by user departments and assist in the closure of reconciliation items.
      • Responsible for quarterly and annual reporting for the Board pack.
      • Responsible for financial statements publication Half Year & Full year results.
      • Ensuring accurate and timely tax filing and liaising with the Group tax team to ensure optimization of taxes and closure of tax matters.
      • Responsible to internal and external audit arrangements and closure of audit issues.
    • · Performance Reporting and Analysis:
      • Liaison with business teams in preparation of annual budgets and periodic short-term forecasting.
      • Responsible for business performance reports and analysis and provide insights on the key performance indicators KPIs for business.
      • Synthesize and prepare reports on performance trends and peer reviews.
      • Identify and highlight opportunities for performance improvement.
      • Develop reporting material in a succinct and visual manner.
      • Develop innovative approaches to extracting, managing, and analyzing data.
    • · Business Operations:
      • Work closely with the leadership team on developing the strategy, roadmap, and targets for the business.
      • Where necessary, support the teams with developing performance forecasts and targets for business cases through scenario modelling.
      • Assist in research support strategic and business planning within the various business units.
      • Assist in the interpretation, evaluation, and interrelation of research data and in developing integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making.
      • Utilize available data and digital technologies to solve business challenges.
      • Proactively seek opportunities to automate, simplify and standardize systems, procedures, and processes.

    Qualifications

    • Proven work experience of at least 4 years in a supervisory role in investment banking, wealth management or collective investment scheme sector.
    • Advanced knowledge of MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and ERP software
    • Excellent analytical/ numeracy skills with an attention to details
    • Financial management and knowledge of accounting practices
    • Experience in managing complex data models
    • Solid knowledge of IASs and IFRSs
    • Time-management abilities and deadline oriented
    • Results-driven, high-performing, high-quality work attitude
    • Ability to work on several tasks/ projects at the same time.
    • Direct, clear communication and speak up attitude
    • Adaptability, willingness to take on tasks in a startup context that are outside of your defined role

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
    • Additional certification e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA, CISI and a registered member of ICPAK.
