    JOB SUMMARY:

    An Finance Intern is responsible for assisting the finance department in processing posting financial data and collating data for audit.


    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    With the support of department management, execute aspects of the finance function including collating audit data and posting transactions.

    Ensure all bank transactions are recorded
    Record transactions in journals, classify postings, reconcile amounts.
    Support the team to undertake audit of statutory accounts and ancillary records (cash and bank, creditors and accruals, debtors and prepayments, floats and petty cash etc.)
    Evaluate maximum compliance on all types of financial, accounting, administrative and operational control systems;
    To conduct physical verification of all tangible assets of the organization.
    Review accounting records and systems within the overall context of the organization's internal control network;
    Jointly review the level of compliance in respect of corporate policies, plans, procedures, guidelines, laws and regulations;
    Update the audit plan and risk analysis
    Other responsibilities as may be assigned by the manager.
    Support business by providing accurate financial information,


    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    Must Have Experience:
    Excellent strategic, analytical, problem-solving and systems thinking skills with capacity to see the big picture and ability to make sound judgment and decisions

    Experience that will count in your favor:
    Fintech/Financial services Industry experience
    Understand the importance of the Internal Audit process


    Nice To Have Experience:
    Ability to use MS Excel and MS Word are required
    Implementing change at large scale
    Automation and process improvement experience


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, graduated in 2023 or a student in final year.
    Professional certification such as ICAN, CPA, ACCA, CIA, or CISA is an added advantage.
    0-2 years of experience in auditing, accounting or other relevant experience
