Description

We are an horticulture farm based in Aboke village, West Ugenya in Ugenya Ward in Sub County of Siaya County.

The farm is seeking to on-board the support of 6 Agriculture students on a Three (3) Months Industrial-Attachment from a corgnized government agricultural institution.

• Certificate or Diploma in Agricultural Extension and Community Development/ General agriculture.
• Good understanding of farm record keeping skills and knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Good community mobilization skills
• teaching skills
• Marketing skills
• Good negotiation skills
• Good knowledge of chilly production
• knowledge of how to use and maintain farm equipment and machinery.
• practical skills for tasks such as fencing.
• Good team work skills

• Mobilization of farmers
• Training of farmers
• Keep farm records
• Marketing of the farm produce
• Maintain farm production and sales records
• Nursery establishment and management
• Assist with all aspects of crop farming, including planting, spraying, harvest and post-harvest management
• Assist in the planting and harvesting of crops
• Carry out Post-harvest management practices and activities for the farm produce
• Marketing of the farm produce

• Any other activity as may be assigned by the farm manager
