To realize this vision, it develops and delivers training in renewable energy, establish knowledge hubs for renewable energy technology and skills and foster communities that actively engage with these hubs.
We are seeking a Grants Writer who will be responsible to write clear, organized, and persuasive proposals for the WTS Foundation.
You will apply knowledge of fundraising methods and plans to reach our goals to develop more non-profit and impact projects.
You will also collaborate with team members in the organization to assist with other fundraising projects and develop relationships with key stakeholders.
For succeeding in this role, you are comfortable with research technical concepts in renewable energy and are enthusiastic about translating these into practical action.
You have a good grasp of fundraising methods and are familiar with the non-profit stakeholder ecosystem that is active in sub- Saharan Africa.
Job ResponsibilitiesStakeholder management of the current impact projects.
Engage to organizations that provide grants and create timeline and pipeline of developing opportunities
Cold Calling, LinkedIn networking, Getting invited into offices, arranging coffee/lunch meetings, industry events.
Dive into donor research and development.
Craft grant proposals from start to finish, including budgets and timelines.
Manage the entire proposal process, ensuring alignment with WTS Foundation vision and donor interests.
Personalize cultivation and stewardship plans for each grant.
Build relationships with key stakeholders.
Job Background/Skills:
Education / training:
Business Administration, Journalism, Sustainability studies, or a related field to renewable energy with proven record of grant-writing.
At least three (3) years of grant writing/reporting experience.
Experience developing budgets for project management.
Have a genuine interest in renewable energy and is open to learning new things to move forward in her/his career.
MS Office savvy.Highly proficient in English.
Organized and responsible with time management.
Not scared to think outside of the box.
Experience with M&E / making the best value out of budgets.
High energy level and eagerness to help
