    o We turn human poop (yes human poop) into charcoal and firewood substitutes to help curb deforestation and protect the environment form untreated human waste.

    We currently operate three fuel factories, two in Naivasha and one in Kakuma Refugee Camp. We have plans to scale to five more factories in the next two years.

    We are a young fast-growing company with current full-time staff of 70 people, with growth to over 100 by end of 2018

Featured in the Netflix documentary "Brave Blue World" and recognized by Forbes and Fast Company, we're at the forefront of innovative sanitation solutions.Join us in driving positive change and shaping the future of sustainable sanitation.About the RoleWe are looking for a construction officer who will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a deep understanding of construction processes, project management, contracts, and compliance with safety regulations. The construction officer will collaborate with multiple stakeholders including contractors, engineers, architects, and clients to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Project PlanningCollaborate with project stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.Site Management:Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety standards.Coordinate construction activities, ensuring work meets contractual requirements and specificationsResolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.Responsible for weighing risks and adverse outcomes of construction to provide risk management resolution.Monitor delivery of equipment to the site.Budget and Cost Control:Monitor project expenditures and maintain accurate financial records.Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize project budgets.Quality Assurance:Implement quality control measures to ensure workmanship meets industry standards and client expectations.Collaborate with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure that quality standards are being metLiaise with engineers, architects, and others working on a project to ensure quality is delivered.Conduct inspections and quality checks at various project milestones.Compliance and Regulations:Ensure all construction activities comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.Obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction activities.Reporting and Documentation:Prepare regular progress reports and updates for project stakeholders.Maintain accurate documentation of project milestones, decisions, and communications.Client Relations:Act as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing their concerns and providing project updates.Manage client expectations and ensure satisfaction with project outcomes.
