RESPONSIBILITIES

Diagnosing, caring and treating diseasesPerforming medical and surgical proceduresPreparing and responding to emergencies and disastersParticipating in management of medicine, medical instruments and equipmentProviding health educationMaintaining health records, health information and dataCounselling patients and their relatives on diagnoses and bereavementsTeaching and coaching medical students, nursing students and clinical officer-internsInitial management, stabilization and treatment of all patientsRotating in various wards and clinics as assignedFacilitating patient admission and dischargeEnsuring patient referral to appropriate specialistChampioning evidence-based practice, patient centered care, service excellence and continual improvementMaintaining patient confidentiality and working with professionalismUndertaking clinical proceduresParticipating in major disaster response in case of anyFacilitating Continuous Medical Education sessions and researchAny other duty that may be assigned from time to time
