Summary

A dispensing pharmacy seeks to recruit 2 qualified and experienced dispensing Pharmaceutical Technologists to join their team as soon as possible.

Dutiesand Responsibilities

• Over the counter sales
• Dispensing prescription medicines to the customers
• Transaction processing
• Arrangement of drugs in the pharmacy
• Pricing of drugs
• Recording prescriptions
• Ensuring that different treatments are compatible
• checking dosage and ensuring that medicines are correctly and safely supplied and labeled
• Supervising the preparation of any medicines
• Keeping a register of available drugs for stock control purposes
• Liaising with doctors about prescriptions
• Counseling and advising the customers on the treatment of minor ailments
• Advising patients of any adverse side-effects of medicines or potential interactions with other medicines/treatments
• Keeping up to date with current pharmacy practice, new drugs and their uses
• Assembling of prescribed medicines
• Ordering, receiving and storing pharmaceutical stock
• Ensure constant supply of pharmaceutical stock
• Inputting customer and prescription data into the computer
• Managing inventory
• Receiving payments from customers for their prescriptions
• Perform other duties assigned

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Holds a minimum diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology
• Registered with relevant body
• 2-3 years' experience as a dispensing pharmacy assistant
• Customer Service skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Team player
• Smart and presentable
• Ability to maintain customer's confidentiality
• Customer focused
