    Description

    Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a State Corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013.

    The 1979 Act established KEMRI as a National body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya.


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized Institution (3 Positions)
    Diploma in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from a recognized Institution (3 Positions)
    Must be registered with Kenya Nutritionist and dietician's institute (KNDI) and in possession of a valid practicing license

    In addition, the applicants must:

    • Be a Kenyan youth below 30 years of age;
    Have graduated and in possession of the above-mentioned certificates;
    Attach a Copy of Identify Card (ID card);
    Provide a Certificate of good conduct; and

    Should have not undertaken any other internship or exposed to workplace experience related to their study area of study since graduating.

    Personal Attributes

    Should possess interpersonal and communication skills
    Must be goal oriented, dynamic, passionate and self-starter
    A person of integrity
    Should possess strong analytical skills
    Must be computer literate.


    Please Note:

    The Internship engagement is strictly for twelve months and the Institute WILL NOT offer employment after the completion of the program.

    A monthly stipend of Kes. 25,000/= and Kes. 15,000/= for Bachelor's and Diploma holders respectively will be given without any other benefits.
    Interns will be expected to take up a personal accident cover and medical Insurance cover.
