    Description

    Participate in design and implementation of new projects.

    **Assistant Engineer (Projects, Planning & Design) - Grade KPC 7

    a) Job Specification**

    i.Participate in design and implementation of new projects.

    ii.Participate in preparation of procedures for undertaking the design and implementation activities using best practices in the industry.

    iii.Assist the Engineer in implementation activities and preparation of project reports.

    iv.Maintain updated projects database.

    v.Understudy the Engineer in all aspects of their roles

    vi.Assist in carrying out research and designs of new products

    vii.Assist in defining project specifications;

    viii.Carry out technical studies and prepare cost estimates under the supervision of the Engineer.

    ix.Assist in preparing Bills of Quantity for Consultancy and Construction project works.

    x.Understudy the Engineer in all aspects of their roles

    b) Person Specification

    i. Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or it's equivalent from a recognized institution

    ii. Membership to a relevant professional body.

    iii. Proficiency in Computer applications.

    c) Key Skills and Competencies

    i. Knowledge and understanding of engineering aspects in Oil/gas Industry including knowledge of local and international standards.

    ii. Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills including ability to prepare relevant reports.

    iii. Flexibility and responsiveness in handling and determining engineering issues.

    iv. Ability to maintain professional status and keep abreast of evolving trends.

    v. Proficiency in computer applications.

    vi. Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
