We are looking for a Mid-Level Interior Designer, with proven experience working in a commercial design environment to join the Nairobi and Mombasa office as part of our award-winning National Interior Design team.

Due to continued growth in our Decorating Solutions Services we are currently recruiting Interior Designers. We are seeking driven, dedicated people who are passionate about interior design and putting their creativity to work for the customers they serve.

Responsibilities;

• Search for and bid on new projects

• Determine the client's goals and requirements for the project

• Consider how the space will be used and how people will move through the space

• Sketch preliminary design plans, including electrical and partition layouts

• Specify materials and furnishings, such as lighting, furniture, wall finishes, flooring, and plumbing fixtures

• Create a timeline for the interior design project and estimate project costs

• Place orders for materials and oversee the installation of the design elements

• Oversee construction and coordinate with general building contractors to implement the plans and specifications for the project

• Visit the site after the project is complete, to ensure that the client is satisfied

Requirements:

• Minimum relevant work experience of two (2) years

• Minimum of a diploma in interior design and/or extensive experience and training in a design field.

• A strong creative background with the ability to manage multiple projects and customers.

• The talent needed to translate your vision into a sales presentation that will meet your client's needs and help them build the home of their dreams.

• Experience with 2D and 3D space planning

• Experience with pallet selections and textiles

• Flexibility in work schedule to meet customer needs

Our decorators work both in-store and in customers' homes to design the room or rooms of our customers' dreams.
