    Summary
    The successful candidate will be reporting to the Dean, School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

    Essential to this role is the desire of the successful applicant to train Ready-To-Go 4-In-1 healthcare professionals in public health, epidemiology, and data analysis, as well as contribute to world-class research that improves practice while delivering a service to the university and the community.

    Key Responsibilities

    The Health Data Science Assistant Professor will be a key faculty member in a healthcare or academic institution responsible for teaching, research, and application of data science principles to healthcare-related data.

    This role primarily focuses on educating students, conducting research in health data science, and contributing to advancements in the field.

    Qualifications

    PhD degree in Epidemiology - Health Data Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.
    Master's degree in Epidemiology - Health data science, Health Informatics, or a related field.
    Proficiency in data analysis and programming languages such as Strata, R and Python.
    Strong research and publication record in health data science or related areas.
    Fulfills Commission for University Education requirements for the position.
    Demonstrable ability to engage in independent research, with an established record of scholarly publication.
    Demonstrable success in the supervision of postgraduate students.
    Have attracted research funds or development funds or educational resources.

    Demonstrable abilities to work effectively as an interdisciplinary and collegial team member, well developed interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide leadership and take the initiative.
