    Description

    The Agricultural Employers Association (A.E.A) is a voluntary member based farmer organization registered in 1966 under the Trade Unions Act Cap 233 of the Laws of Kenya as an Association representing the collective interests of employers in the Agricultural Industry in matters connected with employment of labour.

    Summary

    The position is responsible for effective financial management.

    The responsibilities include processing of accounting transactions, preparation of bills, invoicing, oversee wages and payroll and get accounts to trial balance stage ready for annual audits in line with professional standards and the company's policies, procedures, structures and systems.


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Run Quick books (daily transactions, invoicing, billing).
    Cross checks the wages and muster roll and payment uploads (payrolls)
    Generate financial reports for Management.
    Preparation of accounts to trial balance level ready for audit
    Prepare monthly payrolls ensuring accuracy before forwarding for final review and processing.
    Cross check supplier statements with bills on hand (as statements are received)
    Preparing payments list (with consultation with Management)
    Monthly ITax reconciliations
    Manage uploading of payments, recording and filing of Petty cash
    Oversee the HR department and its operations
    Run the ERP programme.
    Supervise Finance assistant.
    Other related tasks as assigned.

    Desired Qualifications, skills and experience;

    The job holder must possess:
    Bachelor's degree in Finance related discipline.
    At least 5 years of relevant work experience with a reputable organization.
    Passed Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Examination or its recognized equivalent qualifications;
    Ability to work independently.
    Demonstrate attention to detail.
    Ability to analyze financial data.
    Ability to organize paperwork and archive efficiently.
    Demonstrated capacity to question one's work, and seek continual improvement in the services, systems, or one's knowledge.
    Reconciliation and analytical skills.
