    Transformational Business Network (TBN) was founded in 2003 by Kim Tan and Stuart McGreevy, seasoned entrepreneurs and investors who wanted to shift the development paradigm from aid to enterprise.

    Since then TBN has grown into an international movement and leveraged its network of more than 2,000 members across 7 countries.

    That's enabled us to create over 1,500 jobs, supported 67 entrepreneurs to scale their businesses and unlocked more than £55m in investment - and we are just getting started.


    Job Purpose:
    The Partnerships and Fundraising Manager is a critical role for the Transformational Business Network Africa. Our model of impact is to work in partnership with organizations that share our vision.

    Able to think creatively and strategically, you will lead partnerships and fundraising activities, working independently and with other members of the team.

    Steered by business development and fundraising plans led by the Regional Director and the Chief Operations Officer, you will identify and scope opportunities, and work with potential funding partners to design and agree project proposals and budgets.

    You will contribute to fundraising by playing a key role in bid teams and helping to develop corporate and individual giving.

    Committed to brilliant partnership working, you will also manage a portfolio of partnerships with the Government, the private sector and philanthropy (the number may vary reflecting the scale and complexity of partnerships).

    Knowledge and skills

    Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to build strong and effective working relationships with external stakeholders and internal colleagues.
    Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to adapt to different audiences.
    Ability to interpret a wide range of data and deploy this effectively in proposals and bids.
    Financial skills suitable for costing proposals/bids.
    Understanding of and commitment to TBN's mission.
    Understanding of the wider public, partnership and funding ecosystem in which TBN works, its challenges and opportunities.
    Confident user of technology
    Knowledge of fundraising and how it works.

    Education and Qualifications

    Degree or equivalent experience
    A management or leadership qualification
