    United States International University - Africa is located in the Kasarani area, off Thika Road in the suburb of Kenya's capital city of Nairobi.

    The university is an independent, not-for-profit institution serving 6512 students representing 69 nationalities.

    Job Summary

    The successful candidates will be reporting to the Dean, School of Communication, Cinematic and Creative Arts, (SCCCA) and will be expected to teach, conduct research and engage in community service.

    Key Responsibilities/Tasks

    Teach at undergraduate and graduate level in the specific areas of specialization.
    Support and mentor students in their career endeavors.
    Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure that the programs are up-to-date and marketable.
    Design e-learning content for online academic programs.
    Participate in program assessment and reviews.
    Supervise students' research (projects/ thesis/ dissertations) at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
    Engage in research in one's area of expertise.
    Engage in service to the University, the profession and to the community.
    Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience
    Assistant Professor

    An earned PhD. or equivalent degree qualification in the relevant area from an accredited University.
    At least 3 years teaching/ research experience at the university level as a Lecturer/Research Fellow.

    A minimum of thirty two (32) publication points a Lecturer/Research Fellow as per the CUE Standards & Guidelines, 2014, of which at least twenty four (24) should be from refereed scholarly journals.

    Supervised at least four (4) postgraduate students to completion as Lecturer/Research Fellow;
    Registered by relevant professional bodies.
    Candidates with previous industry experience in non-profits, grant making organizations and government are strongly encouraged to apply.
