    ABOUT THE COMPANY

    M.P. Shah Hospital is a Social Service league Hospital which has been in existence for the last 83 years, as a 'not for profit' organization. The Hospital has one single social objective of providing quality, affordable health care services to the community at affordable costs. It is a multi-super-specialty, state-of-the art, tertiary care hospital with a current capacity of 210 fully operational beds, 30 dedicated critical care beds, 10 renal dialysis units and 12 chemotherapy units. It provides all the modern out-patient and in-patient facilities with dedicated pavilions/ wards, specialty clinics, advanced radiology, pathology and Cath lab operations. We are going through exciting times of development and redefining the way health care is delivered in East and Central Africa region.

    JOB SUMMARY

    Qualifications & Requirements.1. A minimum of a Master's Degree in Medicine (MMed) or equivalent qualification in field of Obstetrics & Gynaecology from a recognized institution.2. A Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Bachelors in Surgery from a recognized institution is mandatory.3. Must have valid membership and hold a valid practicing license in the relevant field from Board.4. A minimum of 5 years working experience the health care sector or a related field.5. Fellowship or equivalent in an obstetrics and gynaecology subspecialty will be added advantage.6. Should also possess/demonstrate the below competencies:

    • Ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships and alliances.
    • Research and Development.
    • Data analysis and reporting.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    i. Carry out patient assessment and care – Will undertake treatment, stabilization and other specialized procedures in order to provide preventive and curative services as per the hospital protocols whilst promoting patient centricity. The role will involve providing clinical support including resuscitation, admission, treatment, discharge or referral to the appropriate consultants and units to promote multidisciplinary Contribute to the departmental clinical quality initiatives – including participating in regular clinical audit, review of patient care (including but not limited to length of patient stay, mortality and morbidity reviews, regular clinical meetings) to ensure quality to services provided to Participation in patient safety interventions – by assisting in implementing the quality improvement dedicated to patient safety activities. This will also entail reviewing patient complaints and ensure a satisfactory resolution thereof with proper corrective and preventive Participating in Research and Development- Will be involved in research and development initiatives and create awareness to facilitate patient care.
