The Accountant/Finance
Manager is responsible for all aspects of accounting, financial management, payroll, personnel administration, financial
reporting, tax matters and internal controls.
This role is also responsible for the continued &
successful utilisation of the company ERP system in so far as liaising with the
IT and ERP system providers to ensure that appropriate staff members are
properly trained, that system issues and challenges are reported, addressed and
resolved in a timely manner, that changes & new functionality within the
system are identified and implemented as required. You will also act as the
Project Manager for all ERP system related projects within the
organisation.
In the
administrative capacity, this role will direct, control and supervise the
support services of the organization.
Your principal responsibilities and key result areas will
include, but not limited to the following:
Operational
Responsibilities
1. Manage all accounting operations including debtors, creditors,
general ledger, budgeting and bank reconciliations
2. Ensure accuracy of cash and banking across all locations
3. Overseeing and managing the costs involving a company's
inventory operations.
4. Ensure proper cash management
5. Ensure the ERP system is working efficiently
6. Establishing and implementing inventory management policies
and procedures
Tactical
Responsibilities
1. Develop and document business processes and accounting
policies and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal control.
2. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and
financial reporting
3. Monthly preparation of Board reports including monthly
financial statements for use by directors
4. Reporting monthly results versus budget and analysis of
variances
5. Debt Management and collection
Strategic
Responsibilities
1. Prudent cashflow management
2. Improving efficiency and reducing costs across the
organization
3. Preparing and managing statutory and financial reporting
4. Regular budgeting, budgetary control, and reporting
5. Working with Company auditor to ensure smooth and accurate
annual audits
6. Collaborating with senior management team to develop
financial strategy, including risk minimization and forecasting.

Zero inventory
variances and full investigations/reporting when any occur

ü CPAK and Master's in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting
ü Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with inventory
responsibilities

ü Demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
other IT tools
ü Experience working with an ERP
ü Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
