    Plan International Kenya's (PIK) strategic goal in the next five years is to end teenage pregnancies and end all forms of sexual and gender-based violence against adolescent girls and young women. We aim to help create an enabling environment where girls and young women are safe, valued, equally cared for, and have equal opportunities. PIK will contribute to the global strategy by aiming to reach directly approximately 2.75 million (children, including girls and young women over the period of the strategy running between and to reach additional beneficiaries through its interventions.

    ROLE purpose

    The position holder will manager IT services at the Hub Office sites [2-4 office sites], manage the IT infrastructure and Information Security in the offices, responsible for effective provision, installation /configuration, operation, and maintenance of IT systems and applications, hardware, software and related IT infrastructure. With the support of the CITM, the ITO will manage access control for data and network devices and prepare operational plans and IT business continuity plans for Hub and Program Units, supervise Graduate IT Intern / IT Assistant. The position holder does not directly manage a budget or approve any spending but is expected to raise IT purchase requisitions, record and monitor IT costs at the Hub Office sites, implements IT Operational Management Standards in the Hub Office sites, implements Information Security and data privacy in the Hub Office sites, participates in the technical preparation and implementation of global projects (such as Y.O.D.A., HRIS, SAP and any new emerging IT projects) and manages local IT projects at the Hub office sites. The person will also coordinate IT risk register in the Hub Office sites and responsible for IT disaster preparedness planning and IT emergency response for the Hub Office sites

    TECHNICAL EXPERTISE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    Qualifications/ experience essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology (IT) or Computer Studies or its equivalent.
  • At least 3 years relevant working experience.
  • Certification in Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • ITIL Certification or any other ITSM tool
  • Desirable

  • Certifications in Systems Administration/Systems Engineering, Microsoft technologies (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, SQL Server, Exchange server, Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365) and Cisco technologies will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience of firewall design principles, CISCO Meraki, Virtualization technologies, Trend Anti-Virus, Java and Avaya technologies will be an added advantage.
  • Experience using helpdesk/ticketing systems.
  • Languages required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Kiswahili and English.
