Zainab Dossajee

My name is Zainab Dossajee.  I am a 20 year old studying ACCA at Strathmore University. I have completed 8 papers out of the 13 and about to sit for my 9th paper in December 2022. I completed both my primary and high school education at The Aga Khan School, Mombasa where I got 415 marks in KCPE and A- in KCSE.

I am a firm believer in action speaks louder than words. I  have continously put a lot of effort throughout my studies and I hope to do the same in my future work. I am a disciplined, ambitious and a role model to many of my peers. I have excellent communication skills and an eye for attention to detail.

I am currently seeking to advance my career by taking up an internship that can help me put the skills I have acquired in my professional course into action. I plan to further my studies after completing ACCA by pursuing MBA.

I am interested in obtaining professional experience as from now. I have no previous work experience though I participated in the ACCA SBL Challenge 2021 to 2022 where I was a team leader and led my 4 team members throughout the Challenge. It's here that i showcased my leadership abilities by analysing the tasks given, allocating duties to the team members, managing time efficiently, liasing with our mentor  and presenting the project in its best possible way for the judges to analyse. By doing so, we were able to qualify up to the second round of the Challenge.

I am currently studying ACCA at Strathmore University, Nairobi on a scholarship attained by merit. I have completed 8 papers out of the 13 within a year and half and I shall be sitting for my 9th paper in December 2022. I was a class representative in my Taxation unit.

I studied at The Aga Khan High School, Mombasa where I attained an average grade of A- and A plain in Mathematics and Business Studies. Throughout my high school  I participated in many contests such as The Mathlete organized by Brookside where I won twice; once in 2017 where I was badged as the best girl and again in 2019. I also participated in International Museums Day essay writing competition at Fort Jesus where I won the first prize. Moreover, I won third place in physics competition at Tudor Day School.

I did my primary education at The Aga Khan Primary School, Mombasa where I attained 415 marks and was ranked amongst the best in Coast Region.
