CAREER OBJECTIVE
With over 18 years experience in the computer industry, I am well versed in training, research, management of ICT projects,  Budget design/proposals, ICT resources acquisition and management. My proficiency is in web-site building, emails/Internet, operating systems, networks, hardware, software, preventive maintenance and many other aspects of computer science. Well versed administering corporate networks, and working with a variety of software. Main goal is to be involved with an organization that provides for new skills acquisition, more so because ICT is a field that evolves extremely fast.
I am also well versed in regard to working in management positions based on my many years experience at management levels as evidenced by the narrative below. This means I can comfortably fit into any field that require my management skills that I have acquired over the years especially at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology.

CHAIRMAN, DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
Roles, Duties and Responsibilities
(a) In addition to lecturing, research and overall school management, I also performed the following duties as the chairman
Chairing all departmental board meetings
Preparing the annual budget and procurement procedures for the department
Ensuring that proper and acceptable standards of teaching and research are maintained in the department
Allocation of duties to staff members
Represent the department in appropriate college committees
Keeping custody and maintaining all official documents of the departmental
Ensuring the department fulfills it's obligation as stipulated in the strategic plan and the University statutes
Acts as the accounting officer of the departmental
Ensuring ISO certifications with respect to procedures and processes
(b)  Making recommendations with respect to probation, advancement, and promotion of staff within the department
(c) Ag. Dean School of Computer Science and Information Technology
Acts in this position especially when the substantive dean is away on leave or official duties

Negotiates with the ministry and the prime ministers office on behalf of the university
Ensuring that the university meets all the requirements and collects and assembles relevant evidence for presentation during vetting by the government
(b) SENATE (MEMBER)

Highest decision making organ of the university
Sit in the board meetings to discuss issues that pertain the welfare of the university
Was involved in designing the university statutes 
(c) EXAMINATIONS BOARD (MEMBER)

Receive exam results from various departments
Consider departmental and school examination results, present and recommend them to the Senate board of examiners for approval
(d)  ICT COMMITTEE (CHAIRMAN)

Design the University ICT budget and follow up on implementation
Coming up with the university's ICT policy and ensure it's implementation
Deliberate and identify university requirements with respect to ICT resources, both hardware and software
Budget for the university's ICT infrastructure and resources
Analyzing the various ICT needs from different departments and coming up with particular specifications
Advising the university on the best available ICT solutions to adopt
Assisting the procurement committee in assessing tender documents that are ICT related
