I am a self-motivated individual with excellent knowledge in all areas of Human Resource Management, Organization Development, and Administration.

 I have knowledge in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating personnel and labor relations strategies including policies, programs and procedures to address organization's human resource requirements. 

I am well versed with the principles of personnel and administration management. In addition, I can competently handle payroll administration, Payroll   Administration, Benefits & Compensation, Training & Development, and Staff Welfare & Pension Administration/Management.

Medisel (Kenya) Limited, July 2013- To date

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create a suite of document templates e.g., employment contracts, resignation letters, etc. Ensure these are accessible to the team and ensure they are kept up to date 
  • Processing Payrolls for Medisel Kenya Limited and Dawa Limited through SAP, work closely with the Finance department and HR team to ensure payroll workforce information is kept up to date, and any problems identified and addressed. Issue accurate payroll information, to meet payroll deadlines.
  • Manage the implementation and monitoring of HR processes including recruitment and selection, employment contracts, Joiners and leavers, employment checks, induction, mandatory/other training, probationary period review, maternity/paternity leave.
  • Provide information reports relating to HR for example staff lists, payroll costs, etc. Work on requests for information, ensuring timely and accurate responses are provided.
  • Coordinate and support the execution of recruitment and selection activities such as shortlisting, interviewing, compiling final interview summary 
  • Liaises with AAR medical insurance provider to register new employees, annual renewals, withdraw resigning employees, and provide assistance in solving problem of claims
  • To liaise with external organizations i.e., FKE, KAM, AAR Insurance- Medical Cover, Kenindia Assurance- Pension Scheme, Statutory bodies (NSSF, NHIF, HELB etc.) to get information that is required for business.
  • Managing employee performance through implementation of the current performance management system
  • Preparing confirmation letters for staff due for confirmation after expiry of their probation period as well as those being confirmed into new appointments
  • Ensuring staff conduct and discipline is maintained in all the departments /units and thorough but fast conclusion of staff disciplinary cases
  • Managing staff welfare issues following laid down guidelines
  • Provide support to all business partnering i.e., Production, QA, QC and Warehouse departments
  • HR communication and reporting
  • Manage all Monthly Online statutory returns both Medisel and Dawa i.e. NHIF, NSSF, NITA and PAYE
  • Drive the Legal / Statutory compliance, ensuring Training and Audits are timely carried out as required by DOSH
  • Lead coordinator for implementation and improvement for ISO Quality Management System 
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety & Health (OSHA) and ensures conducive work environment
  • Ensure the Health & Safety Committee is in place and meetings take place at least once every quarter
  • Ensures health and safety compliance of all employees through compliance to safety standards and procedures.
  • Manage special projects as assigned within the Human Resource department.

  • Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management, Eldoret Polytechnic, 2010-Pass
  • Diploma in Personnel Management, Machakos Technical Training Institute, 2005-2008-Credit
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education, C- (Minus), St. Joseph Seminary Mwingi, 2000-2004
