DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1To assess, develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care for Outpatients.

2. To autonomously initiate emergency interventions as patient/client condition

dictates.

3. To provide nursing care without supervision, within the level of the post-holder’s

experience and competence and document plan in the clinic notes when necessary.

4. To participate as team member, including supporting relatives and friends of

patients/clients together with providing support for other patients/clients.

5. To maintain accurate records, both electronic and paper, of the care given in

accordance with agreed standards.

                              DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Taking of vitals thats is by monitoring there blood pressure,weight ,height,normal bmi,temperature and pulse  to detect deviations fom normal,triage the patients and proper monitoring and caring of the patients put under the holding unit.

2.Making beds ,dump dusting,making orders on required items and documentation the usage and ensuring on the availabilty of the required items during and after and procedures

3.Carefully watchand ensuring the patients are prepared for the treatment and recovering adequatly from any medical procedures done on them.

4.To observe patient on regular basis and chart there symptoms and progress and report the changes and concerns to the doctor or the specialist.

5.Providing the proper care to antenatal mothers and post natal mothers by ensuring they have a good and safe pregnancy and post delivery.

6.Monitoring and accessing the children during their clinics,proper administarion of the vaccines and follow up fom deviations,health eduacating on exclusive breastfeeding ,proper balanced dieting and monitoring on danger signs of a child is ill with a follow up on there progress and there uptake of the mediactions.

7.Performing minor surgical procedures like stitching,fixing and maintaing the intravenous line.Assiting the doctor on performing procedures like manual vaccum aspiration and other procedures

8.Ensuring proper hygiene is maintained and proper cleaning and sterilization of the surgical instruments and the surrounding.

9.Followup on patients recovery when they are at home after they are release from the hospital

                         DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Assist the surgeons during surgery, and they have to also coordinate with surgical technicians

2.To do and instrument check before and after surgery and sterilize all the surgical equipment before and after the surgery .Ensure the sterile rules are followed,proper gowning ,sanitation and also cleaning the surgical area and ensuring it is sterile .

3.Preorder items to be used in the theatre and document on the items used during and after any surgical process.

4.  Maintain good hygiene standards and quickly hand over the equipment to the surgeon during the surgery

5.Proper preparing of  the patients before and after the surgery and talking to the patient family ,by educating the on the procedure,supporting them,acquiring a consent of approval from them and giving them an assurance to relieve the anxiety . This assist them to understand the procedure and reasons for it to be done.

6.Observe the patient after the surgery and ensure that they wake up from the anesthesia.

7.Documentation of the whole procedure,surgeons involved,items used ,duration of the procedure,and handing over the patient back to the ward to continue with the monitoring and care

                          Worked as a nurse on locum basis during the Nurses strike. 

                        DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient.Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.

2.Make beds, bathe, and feed patients,prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, 

3.Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of patients.

4.Provides general nursing care to patients in hospital. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques.

5.Proper assesment and documentation of heath findings,educating giving assurance on the patient on the health analysis.

6.Able to be a leader and lead others on there specified duties and  ability to apply complex problem-solving strategies
