About Moody Mushila:
I'm bringing a wealth of experience in procurement and supply chain management from the most complex hospitality sector where I have gained experience of 14 years to-date. I like sharing my experience and knowledge to enhance high professional standards of procurement.
My education and background bring out a procurement professional experienced in areas such as supplier selection and management, contract management, strategy formulation and implementation, risk management, supplier performance management, supply chain evaluation, store management and cost control. organizations need these competencies to move to the next level.
Being a certified public accountant of Kenya, I have been able to stretch budgets, ensure all company spend is in check and in line with overall cost strategy at all times. No purchase is carried out without knowing the total cost of ownership which I diligently do to ensure value for money. I endeavour to ensure fairness and an all-inclusive tender process that encourages women, youth and also people able differently to participate. Using accounting principles to ensure the company has optimal stock levels not to overcapitalize in stocks and also not to affect operations negatively. Bringing on board a procurement professional who is also an accountant will be an added advantage for any procurement role.
My first degree in hotel management has exposed me to the complex nature of the hospitality operations which exposes you to the complex mix that ensures customer satisfaction. Putting the customer at the center stage will also be my objective given any role. Ensuring efficiency to deliver while ensuring that the systems are seamless and effective to deliver required deliverable to meet customer demands.
I'm a people’s person and believe in effective leadership. Articulating company vision, mission, overall goals and breaking it down to functional goals and explaining to the subordinates is key in achieving the set goals. Show subordinates the vision and help them bring out their full potential is what i will do as a leader.
Integrity is a core value in procurement profession and this will not change. Adhering to policy, standard operating procedures and ensuring correct job description is vital in ensuring work flow and eliminating loop holes for corruption and unethical conduct. i will introduce a code of conduct for all employees to sign and adhere to. same will be a requirement for all suppliers to abide by before they supply goods and services.
