Experience

1. January 2022 – Present: Embulbul Mixed Day Secondary School – Stores Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take delivery of all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders
  • Preparation of tender documents, advertisements and local purchase orders.
  • Take part in evaluation of bids.
  • Maintain all procurement records.
  • Advise school management on matters procurement
  • Track, document, and resolve any discrepancies on received orders
  • Ensure accuracy of the facility’s inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns
  • Manage inventory/supplies and ensure they are within the established minimum and maximum levels
  • Keep up-to-date records of receipts, records, and withdrawals from the stockroom
  • Responsible for stock rotation and coordinate the disposal of surpluses
  • Oversee the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and minor repairs

 

2. September 2020 to December 2021: Ministry of Education (Kajiado North) - General Clerk

Duties and responsibilities

3. February 2018 to January 2020:  Airports & Beyond Tours Limited - Procurement Assistant

Duties and responsibilities

  • Company Fleet Management
  • Receiving stock accordingly, verifying goods received for quantity and quality as per LPO terms
  • Receiving orders from in –house staff and acting on them accordingly
  • Allocating and confirming goods as per sales orders
  • Dispatching goods of right quantity as per order to various locations
  • Managing documentation within the store
  • Recording all stock items leaving the store
  • Reporting of replenishment quantities, slow moving items and providing insight to fast moving goods
  • Ensuring quality goods and services from the suppliers to maintain the standards of the procurement function.
  • Maintaining and updating a list of registered suppliers.
  • Ensuring efficient discharge of inventory activities, disposal of stores and equipment.
  • Ensuring safe custody of all procurement records.
  • Implementing existing regulations, procedures and procurement manual.
  • Participating in preparation of procurement and disposal plans.
  • Preparing and dispatching of tender documents, quotations, request for proposals and expressions of interest.
  • Sourcing for goods, works and services as per the procurement law.
  • Participating in bid opening and analysis.
  • Raising purchase orders for goods and services for approval.
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods, works and services.
  • Responsible for safety of stores and prompt filing of stores documents.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly stores reports.
  • Liaising closely with relevant office on repair works and general maintenance of offices, equipment and servicing of vehicles to provide efficient and effective support services.
  • Reconciling delivery of goods and services and ensuring accurate delivery.
  • Participating in disposal of stores and equipment in accordance with the laid down regulations and procedures.

4. Aug 2017- Jan 2018: Kenya Revenue Authority – Nyeri Station - Logistics Intern

Duties and responsibilities

  • Raising Purchase Requisitions in the KRA ERP system.
  • Stock taking and reconciliation.
  • Assisting in raising of Purchase Orders for goods and services.
  • Implementing Inventory Management techniques and strategies.
