6. Procurement and Vendor Management Manage procurement processes, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order processing, while ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to procurement policies. 

7. Financial Analysis Conduct financial analysis, including cost projections, revenue forecasting, and expense tracking, to support informed decision-making and resource planning. 

8. Asset Management Maintain an accurate inventory of school assets, including equipment and supplies, and ensure proper record-keeping, depreciation, and disposal as required. 

9. Cash Flow Management Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and cash position to ensure adequate funds are available for school operations and financial obligations. 

10. Collaborative Support Collaborate with school administrators, staff, and external stakeholders to provide financial guidance, support, and training as needed.

Accountant at Stella Cometa Association (Charitable Organization) - Catholic Diocese of Machakos 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Manage financial records including updating QuickBooks; bank and petty cashbooks, ledgers and journals. Ensure staffsubmit and maintain appropriate supporting documents. 

2. Manage preparation, co-ordination and control of budget forecasts and budget tracking. 

3. Prepare regular cash flow projections and actual cash analysis. 

4. Ensure monthly bank reconciliation of all bank accounts. 

5. Participate in financial modeling to improve association’s financial planning and management. 

6. Maintain a proper filing system for all documents and proper record keeping. 

7. Office inventory management and control. 

8. Carrying out the internal audit. 

9. Processing field imprest requests, ensuring that they are paid on time to keep departmental office operations fully functional in their budget execution. 

10. Carrying out bank agent duties inclusive of cash withdrawals, negotiation for better exchange rates and request for bank statements.
