Langat Amos

Hi! My name is Langat Cheruiyot Amos, a Kenyan national. I'm an EdTech enthusiast and all around Digital Learning design nerd. I have experience in all aspects of the development cycle: Project Management, Designing storyboards from scripts; Authoring eLearning in softwares like Articulate ; Redesigning old eLearning courses; eLearning Quality Assurance ;  LMS's implementation and support. I have served as project manager during the development of several eLearning projects from beginning to end. I have a lot of experience working with content developers, SME's, video experts, Quality Analysis teams and other stakeholders. I'm very learner oriented, and quite honestly, I'm very good at what I do. I'm also very easy to talk to, honest and upfront about what I can and can NOT do.Hi! I am quite confident I can perform the requisite functions and meet the objectives of this role, given my extensive experience and relevant educational qualifications.

I have 7+ years experience, 5 years of which are in digital learning and development, research, technology implementation and support with a successful track in outcome-focused strategic innovations. 

I have served as lead project manager during the development of several digital learning projects from beginning to end. I have a lot of experience working with marketers, content developers SME's, professional VO experts, Quality Analysis teams, etc.  

Currently I work with ForumCiv, a Swedish International organisation, as a digital learning  advisor, providing technical leadership and expertise in digital learning solutions, instructional design and knowledge management.

Key of my achievements in this role is the development of the digital learning strategy transitioning ForumCiv from an organisation that heavily depended on off the shelf content, tools and consultants to an organisation that is able to provide inhouse personalised learning experiences to its target audience.

Previously, I worked as an ICT Officer, research and innovation for ForumCiv regional office, prioritizing key innovation projects across themes and countries based on a carefully-drawn innovation strategy, and overseeing implementation. While on this role, I served as a start-up manager for Kikao Simu project supporting the project conceptualisation, planning and rollout. Kikao Simu is a bulk SMS platform, free of a charge that provided civic education campaigns to the public through SMS. The platform also enabled the community to voice out their concerns and feedback on governance. Key of my achievements at this role included the Kikao Simu initiative emerging best 2nd Runners up in the best use of ICT for Citizen Engagement with a potential to provide a more expanded platform for Civic education and promoting transparency and information sharing

I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and Technology and currently paused my Master in Applied Computing and Informatics. Am fascinated by technology and currently enjoying my free time learning Virtual Reality. Besides this I have also completed several professional courses in instructional design, learning theories, new media and technology.
