Duties and Responsibilities

• Receiving credit applications.
• Checking and Verifying clients’ KYC details i.e., Confirming if identification documents such as ID card, passport, alien ID and KRA PIN certificate provided are authentic.
• Analyzing client credit worthiness. This involves reviewing client credit history by analyzing their internal borrowing and other credit obligation they have in their CRB reports and financial statements. 
• Analysing client ability to repay. Establishing whether the client qualifies for the facility they have applied and if they have the ability to repay it based on their incomes and cash flows. This will involve checking their current credit obligation in CRB report and financial statements.  
• Confirming loan application compliance. Confirming if application meets all the standards required as per the organization policies. This involving confirming all documentations are attached, values are correctly inputted and computed, and all relevant information is provided. 
• Generating Loan Agreement. After the loan application has been analysed and the client qualifies for the facility, I generate the loan agreement for disbursement to be done. 
• Documenting all loan application analysed.

Credit Information Sharing Officer: KCB BANK KENYA:  October 2014 to December 2020:

Duties and Responsibilities

• Data Submission: Submitting customers’ credit information to the registered Credit Referencing Bureau (CRBs). Involves preparing credit data to the standards recommended by CBK and submitting it to the CRBs on a daily and monthly basis.
• Updating customer credit information with CRBs: It includes updating credit status, amending client’s information and deleting information erroneously submitted 
• Handling and resolving customers’ CRB disputes and complains.
• CRB systems user administrator: Creating and disabling users’ profile on CRB systems and resetting passwords. 
• Budgeting and processing payments for CRB services utilized by the Bank.
• Reconciling CRB expenditure and suspense accounts for the unit.
