About hussein farah:

Currently I am a council member at Kibabii university. My main responsibilities are policy making and oversight role over the management of the university, and I attend quarterly meeting. 

I have been working for Garissa County Government for the last five years as Chief officer, Housing & Public works Department. I was employed for a contract of five years which ended on 31st August 2022. The duties and responsibilities are organization, direction, control and coordination of the function of the public service in the county. Initiate development of the appropriate county departmental policies, legal and institutional frameworks for the implementation of the mandate of the public service. Preparation of departmental plans and budgets and ensure compliance with financial, budgetary and procurement procedures among others. 

 

I have been working at managerial position at different capacity for over twenty years and have learnt great knowledge and experience. Hence, I am seeking a position that offers responsibility for the full range of management skills, as well as the opportunity to meet and work with range of people.

I hold MSc. Degree in Medical Microbiology from London school of hygiene & tropical medicine (UK), with wealthy of experience in administration and management for over twenty years. I am fluent in English, Somali and Kiswahili, both spoken and written, at the same time computer literate
