About Hussein Bilala:

 I am very interested in the opportunity to work as a  Manager, Regional Operational Procurement at IFRC, Nairobi. With more than 25 years of experience in leading Supply Chain Management operations and Contract Management procedures in both Public and Private Institutions in Kenya like the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights and the National Drought Management Authority (NDMA), as well as Equity Bank Kenya Limited, I am confident that I am a good fit for this position.

Working with NDMA as supply chain manager I ensured our supply chain and logistics operations function properly. In this role, I collaborated with other departments, such as Operations and Finance, to create effective business plans, so teamwork skills are important. I also have experience in project management and administration, a skilled acquired while working in the field of project management and community development in Northern Kenya, as well as great leadership and communication ability. In the course of my career the bulk of my responsibilities in various organization revolves around creating organization’s supply chain strategy, monitoring logistics and maintaining supply chain inventory and records as well as creating cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes which I undertook with a stellar performance.

 

Being highly skilled and successful manager with wide-ranging experience in coordinating human resources, budgets and general logistics I have extensive knowledge and skills that will allow me to contribute toward the success of your organization. In performing my duties, I always strive to ensure compliance to regulations and organizational procedures and practices, while giving in the same time high quality outputs, and delivering stipulated results. I have a proven track record of successfully managing all aspects of the supply chain, from procurement to delivery. I have also been successful in developing and implementing strategic plans that improve efficiency and reduce costs.

During my career I have had experience in the following areas: management of operational processes, development of best practices, development of inventory plans, monitoring personnel logistical activities, development of staff development plans and tools as well as reporting both general and compliance. I am fully committed to adherence to organizational goals and requirements while facilitating streamlined HR operations and motivating team members to deliver best results. 

Nevertheless, continued personal and professional growth are an important part of my success, and I am devoted to results and goals and ready to learn form best practice and from my peers.

As an experienced Manager, I recognize the importance of optimizing business processes without losing personal connections with employees. I thrive on encouraging staff performance and was praised by senior management for my ability to ensure adherence to established organizational processes while maintaining a positive and motivating corporate culture. Experience

I am a holder of a Masters Degree in Logistics and Procurement from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology as well as Graduate Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supplies (CIPS) UK.
