Experience
- Ecobank: Successfully lead and motivated an international cross-functional technical team of 50+ individual towards the successful execution and delivery of the Ecobank Mobile and Rapidtransfer projects which were deployed to 33 countries across Africa within the agreed scope, schedule, cost and quality. Bringing in a fixed revenue of $2.5 million and ongoing average monthly recurrent revenue on support fees and commissions of $200,000. In addition, I Developed and enhanced budgets and revenue streams, saving an average of $ 2,000 in monthly operational costs.
- Citibank: Planned and coordinated the full revamp of the Cellulant payment gateway to meet the organizations requirement for a more robust and self-serving system and meet additional client requirement that would be later provided to existing and new clients thereby reducing operational and support costs. With the client requirement to have this available in 5 African countries I have successfully navigated through three different country regulatory requirements to ensure initiation, processing, and delivery of payments through Cellulant payment gateway. With this project I have worked with 7 cross functional teams across 5 time zones to ensure that the organization's strategic goal is met while bringing in $300,000 in revenue.
- Payouts Project and Product Delivery: Led the merchant and bank integrations to Cellulant payment gateway by managing inter-squad project priorities and dependencies. Also Led the product improvement and asset acquisition tracks to enrich Cellulant payment gateway service basket Based on Cellulant’s overall strategy for the year. With this came C-Level stakeholder and MRR management & reporting. Having an average increase of 10% above the target MRR.
- Business Strategy Implementation: led the strategy execution, which included scaling to new markets, effective delivery and product innovation. Due to the availability of assets targeted to the most important areas, product sales overestimated projections by 111% ($16 million) and increased customer satisfaction. To achieve this, I led and managed the adoption of:
- Agile Software Development: Established a collection of key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the efficacy of agile delivery and used this information to pinpoint areas that needed improvement while making necessary changes to the approach. As a result, the development process was streamlined, expenses were cut, project outputs were enhanced, and teams were made more responsive to market changes and customer needs. ultimately adding to the company's overall success.
- Product re-focus: Led the implementation of a new strategy geared towards making the organization more product focused by prioritizing and optimizing the product roadmap and development process in accordance with the organization's overall business goals, I managed a cross-functional product development team while maintaining collaboration among departments.
