Annette Omondi

Regarding my professional background, I've had the good fortune to amass this both in Kenya and Australia, in a variety of digital and physical roles. I graduated from Moi University in Kenya with a bachelor's degree in communication and public relations. RMIT (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology) also awarded me a Masters in Media. 

Most recently, I have worked for a variety of businesses in Kenya including; Big Drop (general e-commerce), Globeflight Ke (logistics), Bobu Africa (tourism), and Compland Shop (IT e-commerce). I am able to adapt to the ongoing changes in various businesses because of my multi-industry experience in the global digital media environment.

This course built on existing collaborative audiovisual production skills and experience, and explored contemporary media practices through the creation of innovative digital storytelling projects.

Students learn from industry mentors and guests, undertake internships with industry leaders, and develop their craft and expertise through applied research projects that position them as emerging leaders in the field themselves.

This degree operates in ’blended’ mode to allow for greater flexibility. This consists of a mix of face-to-face lectures and tutorials combined with e-learning.

Assessments were written and project-based, and included work undertaken individually and in groups.
