Security Controller

Maxie Security Services Limited, Nairobi (May 2018- date)

Monitoring and archiving CCTV video footage and other security systems data efficiently and retrieving for investigations and analysis in case of incident occurrences.

Operating and maintaining Closed Circuit Television and other security equipment to ensure they are working correctly.

Investigating incidents, taking witness statements, and generating security reports to improve the company’s security performance.

Accurately recording all incidences that have taken place and subsequent actions taken with clarity and integrity in the occurrence book.

Regularly brief the security supervisor on security matters taking place within the organization. 

Managing access control systems and credentials by issuing access cards/passes to authorized visitors and keeping such records.

Observing and reporting suspects or incidents to the defined authorities and initiating accident response by use of radio or other communication channels.

Monitoring intruder alarm systems and liaising with response units to attend to the premise of raised alarms.

Acting as custodian of security control room equipment and monitoring their operational readiness together with all other security and communication gadgets.

Undertaking security audits to identify gaps and putting measures to alleviate risks before they occur.

Conducting health and safety inspections on the premise to ensure it is free of hazardous material or any foreseeable impending danger.

Spot-checks of security guards through CCTV cameras and impromptu rounds to ensure they are at their duty stations and working effectively as expected.

Following laid down security policies and procedures when dealing with offenders/trespassers and maintaining a calm professional demeanor at all times.
