February 2023- Date: Project Nurse-World Vision Kenya-Nutrition and Drought Response Project-Kajiado County 

  • Support in the day-to-day running of integrated mobile health outreaches and management of nutrition and health activities
  • Support in the coordination of all field logistical operations for the program including outreaches with the MoH staff.

  • Facilitated catalyzing workshop for the Faith Leaders and Spouses and a community partner.

  • Coordinate Monthly Adolescent forum per congregation facilitated by the CHAT
  • Carried out capacity-building training for CHATs on identified capacity gaps or needs

  • Treat and care for patients after medical procedures by monitoring vital signs and administering medication.
  • Maintained and organized medical documentation and information for patients.
  • Responded to emergencies where patients are in life-threatening conditions by following the correct procedure and maintaining a calm and effective demeanor.
  • Noted patient's physical condition, vital signs, daily routine, and medication schedule in the urgent care department during serious illnesses or injuries.
  • Admitted new patients to the wards for in-patient care. Analyzed medical histories and incorporated them into the patient's care plan. 
  • Conducted patient interviews upon admission. 
  • Assisted the doctor in charge in developing comprehensive individualized care for patients
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, families, and other staff members when developing a plan for care and treatment during the hospital stay.
  • Work as a supervisor for, and help train new nursing students who are completing their internship duties.
  • Recorded information about patients as they recovered from illness in the hospital, such as diet, physical activity, milestones, and more.
  • Followed a treatment plan and medication schedule ordered by the doctor, and assessed patient pain levels during the hospital stay.
  • Led an initiative with the hospital to improve patient, family, and medical staff communication by conducting community workshops to facilitate suggestions.
