My background includes leading sales teams, operations and sales strategies to drive business and customer service success for highly successful and reputable multi-unit wholesale and retail stores.  From achieving top sales performances and implementing innovative promotion efforts, to leading staff development and establishing revenue-enhancing processes, I excel at propelling sales and revenue growth, managing teams, and achieving corporate goals and objectives.

Until recently, I worked as a National Sales Manager, where I handled the following roles; nurtured and maintained clients’ relationships, conducted market research and marketing activities, ensured the availability of product range in all channels to increase market shares,  I also pursued new clients from all channels on board, e.g., tier 3 supermarkets, wholesalers etc. and also negotiated the terms of payment, discounts and prices for both new and existing clients.

My dedication to creating solid and productive partnerships with distributors and my steadfast motivation to meet or exceed sales goals characterizes my career accomplishments. These skills, combined with my articulate presentation talents, will allow me to benefit the sales team greatly. My current skill set would transfer directly into a number of different roles in the sales and marketing industry. I feel I have the right skills to do the job competently and more professionally.

Experience

  • I used to manage the sales team, from participating in the recruitment process, to training and deploying them in respective territories or regions.
  • Setting targets for each individual area and making sure that the targets are achieved or exceeded.
  • Made sure that the company procedures are followed in line with the company policy.
  • I serviced all the key accounts in Nairobi e.g. Neiva's, Carrefour, Mulley's (Quick matt), Chandarana and Muhindi mweusi etc.
  • I was in charge of all the key account receivables and dealt with all the national debt collection and balancing of their accounts.
  • I was responsible for new customer acquisition and development. 
  • I ensured that goods were delivered in a timely manner and in good condition.
  • I suggested solutions that answer clients needs and wants.
  • I resolved customer complaints in an effective and respectful way.
  • I would develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with all clients.
  • I created reports for higher management.
