About Susie Mwangi:

I am a highly committed and professional kindergarten school teacher who enjoys working with young children and guiding them into education. I have a very calm and patient manner. I have excellent communication skills and listening skills and relate well to young children. 

I have always been passionate about education and as I am a very organized person by nature, I like to ensure that my classroom and work area are ready for the children’s arrival and that my lessons are planned in advance following the curriculum. I like to make sure that my children are engaged and interested in my classes so try to make them as interesting and informative as possible. 

I am an enthusiastic person, I enjoy thinking the better of people and situations and like to put every effort into my work.

The Vale School Muthaiga:- Co-Teacher age 4-5 years, from September 2017 to December 2017 

Co-Teacher age 16 months- 2.5 years, from January 2018 to March 2018 

Class Teacher age 16 months- 2.5 years, from March 2018 to July 2020 

Class Teacher age 2.5- 3 years, from September 2020 to July 2023

Key Contributions: 

  • Drafting and creating the curriculum, in conjunction with the PYP Coordinator/Head of academics. 
  • Advising and co-operating with the PYP Coordinator/Head of Academics, and other teachers in the preparation and development of courses of study, teaching materials, teaching programmes, methods of teaching and assessment and pastoral care arrangements.

  • Assessing, recand ording on the developmental milestones and progress, of each child in my care. 
  • Providing and/or contributing to oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual students and/or groups of students in my care.
