I consider myself as an analytical thinker with excellent problem solving skills, a team player with a high level of self-motivation and ability to set and meet expected goals. Am a reliable person of high integrity and hardworking man who is capable of all duties assigned   and meeting its environmental challenges with appropriate   response and Strategies with minimum supervision.

WORKING EXPERIENCE:

JAN 2021- TO DATE MANDERA COUNTY GOVERNMENT

 Position: Social and Gender Development Officer.

Responsibilities 

  • Working with communities to identify and mobilize government resources for implementation of development projects.
  • Liaising with local communities and development agencies in implementing community development programmes.
  • Identify self-help groups and community based organizations for registrations.
  • Collecting sex and disability disaggregated data for all social development programmes.
  • Collecting social development related data for planning.
  • Guiding communities and self-help groups to identify their social economic needs .
  • Mobilizing communities to implement their development projects.  

JAN 2019-DECEMBER 2019:  Nomadic Assistance for Peace and Development.

Position:  Project Officer

Responsibilities 

  • Implementation of food security sustainable livelihood program in accordance with the NAPAD country strategic plan. 
  • Promote and ensure adoption of innovative climate smart agriculture production method technologies and approaches.
  • To accomplish primary goals of providing administrative and technical skills to support the project to success.
  • Organize project meetings and meet with the project managers to review and preview the progress and discus the future steps.
  • Arrange meetings with the members of the project and organize the appropriate meeting rooms, refreshments and contact/confirm those attending the meeting.
  • Maintain project documents which track project progress and file all the documents in an appropriate database or library and ensure all documents are accurate and have been accepted by the project manager.
  • Manage project schedules, monitoring the deadlines for each project task and check regularly that every deadline is still possible and report any potential delays to the project manager.

NOV 2016- NOV 2018 Humanitarian African Relief Development Organization (HARD)

Position: project Assistant  

Responsibilities 

  • Working with project manager to plan projects and outline needed resources.
  • Assist the project manager in coordinating the implementation of the project with other partner agencies.
  • Assist the project manager in the establishment of networking system among agencies and practioners.
  • Facilitating communication and resolving conflicts between lower-level employees and senior management.
  • Assigning internal team members to projects as well as hiring and external labour as needed
  • Attend cluster meetings and present progress reports about the organizations.
  • Assist the manager in Evaluating the performance of project team members to maximize productivity
  • Assist the manager Using financial and budget analysis to make sure projects are completed within budget.

(WOHED)

Position: M &E ASSISTANT.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the M&E Officer in the development and/or finalization of the project Work Plan and keep it updated in accordance with project activities and timeframes as relevant.
  • Develop the overall framework for project M&E, for example mid-term project review, impact assessment, final evaluation, develop project Performance Monitoring Plan with relevant data collection systems.
  • Help the M&E officer to develop a plan for project-related capacity-building on M&E and for any computer-based support that may be required.
  • Organize and undertake training with collaborating partners on M&E as required.
  • Collect data on a regular basis to measure achievement against the performance indicators.
  • Check data quality with partners.
  • Maintain and administer the M&E database; Analyse and aggregate findings with the help of senior officer.
  • Support project progress reporting, project mid-term review and final evaluation.
  • Identify areas where technical support to project partners is required. Organize refresher training on M&E for partners as required.
  • Produce reports on M&E findings and prepare presentations based on M&E data as required.
  • Provide the Project Manager with management information she/he may require.
  • Check that monitoring data are discussed in appropriate forum and in a timely fashion in terms of implications for future action. If necessary, create such discussions to fill any gap.
