  • Validation of marking of limit and corresponding interest conditions on facilities for the Bank clients, Banks and staff accounts.
  • Oversee Disbursements of Loan facilities and ensuring the monies disbursed are allocated to the right purposes e.g. payment of vendors or repayment of loan accounts.
  • Oversee the checking of securities and approval conditions and ensure they are met before disbursement of the facilities
  • Preparation and coordination and chairing of the Credit Unit meeting.
  • Coordination of the reports to the Management.
  • Oversee Grading and classification of account for CBK and Management purposes.
  • Oversee Guarantee booking, validation and maintenance and Commission recovery. Both Guarantee received and Guarantee issued.
  • Validation and transmission of CBK Reports (PR 4 1-6) on monthly basis.
  • Ensure compliance with CBK Prudential guidelines on facilities.

  • Classification and Grading of client accounts. 
  • Guarantee/ Bonds issuance, maintenance cancellation and commission recovery.

  • Drafting of facilities offer letters for personal, corporate and SME borrowers.
  • Daily overstepping of clients for the whole Bank portfolio to ensure that any overstepping is authorised and to highlight clients that need to be followed up to cover their accounts.
  • Follow up on insurance of the portfolio and liaison with contact persons for group schemes.
  • Weekly Compliance report generation so as to highlight the Bank’s position in comparison with previous trends and CBK requirements.
