Job description

  • Plan, develop, and oversee the implementation of our company’s international HR strategies across Mini group of companies none baking businesses.
  • Create HR programs and policies and ensure they are successfully implemented and adhered to in all the different group businesses.
  • Ensure HR strategies, plans, and programs, are in accordance with international employment laws and regulations
  • Counsel senior team members (HODs and Directors) about HR-related matters across the group.
  • Create onboarding programs and processes middle to senior level leaders.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long range HR strategic plans for all the company in the group that are in line with group strategy as well as site strategy in liaison with respective leader of the business unit. Establish and implement short- and long-term departmental goals linked to business performance and manpower requirements
  • Change Management: Manage the overall changes relating to current strategic objectives.
  • People Management: Across the none baking businesses and management of a team of HRBPs. Supervise and lead our corporate HR staff and provide advice, support, and leadership to HR teams in various companies in the group
  • Budget Management: Plan, develop & manage the HR budget for the HR department as well as support individual business units develop the same. 
  • Profitability of the HR function as well as acting as the general manager of eleven degrees from January 2022 to January 2023.

Key achievements:

  • Stabilizing operations following a redundancy exercise and navigating through the effectsof huge changemanagement processes. Coaching the team and all the staff.
  • Managed to consult on and successfully deliver SMETA certification for one companycurrently consulting on SMETA for another company. In the short tenure I was directed to co- run not just the HR department but the whole of Mini Management Services as the acting GM by the Chairman of the group.

  • On administration I was in-charge of stake holder management at KIPI, KEBs, Nairobi city council, NEEMA, Kenya police and public health managed to form strong relationships for the company as well as unblock none-compliance issues creating a smooth flow of business on behalf of Spice World.
  • In an acting capacity the de facto head of quality as I pushed for the formulation of the department staffed it and currently offer leadership to improve on the quality of production and spear headed HACCP certification.
