Silviah Jerop

I am Silviah Jerop a 24 year old lady.I graduated from Masinde Muliro University with a bachelors degree  in human nutrition and dietetics Second class honours upper division.

I did my internship in Kakamega county refferal hospital where I attended several outreaches,in job training and worked as a personal assistant to the County nutritionist.I also managed patients with different medical conditions some got well and others didn't make it and it's all by the will of God 

I am passionate about ending hunger sdg 2,writing articles on how malnutrition can end.I'm in the process of coming up with an organization that can help combart hunger.

I love children and can do anything for them.I have managed several children who were severely malnourished and I'm always happy when they are discharged when they have normal nutrition status.

I am also pleased to inform you that I have a certificate in leadership and I possess excellent leadership skills.

I also trained in Hini and wash,Imam and SPSS and through this I can handle nutrition related problems effectively

I'm also an excellent orator  and writer in both English and Swahili languages.

I graduated in 2021 with a bachelors degree in Human nutrition and dietetics Second class honours .I did my internship this year and i was able to be work in the medical,surgical wards,Cancer centre,Renal unit,comprehensive care clinic,maternal and child health service,newborn unit,community outreaches(vitamin A supplementation, deworming,screening for malnutrition and inpatient and outpatient care for malnutrition,diabetis CCC,intensive care unit.

During this period I was exposed to diet prescription,enteral and parenteral nutrition, nutrition education and counselling, nutrition assesement,care and support,continuous medical education for other health workers.

I was also privileged to work as the personal assistant to the county nutritionist where I was able to attend several meetings in the county and complied all reports in nutrition related field.

I completed my secondary education in 2015 with a Mean grade of B+

I then proceeded to Masinde Muliro University in 2016 and pursued a bachelors degree in human nutrition and dietetics and graduated in 2021 with a second class honours upper division degree
