I have served in the Hospitality, Heritage, Engineering, Maritime, Tourism, Media, Sports and Retail industries, in both the public and private sector, where I've gained invaluable experience, and look forward to more. My formal education is in International Business and Communication, however, I don't limit myself to what I've learnt in class. My mission is to be an exceptional Brand Ambassador, cultivate innovation, offer exceptional customer service, give back to the community by ensuring integrity carries the day in whatever I do. I'm not afraid to do things differently.

Over 15 years in Communication and Marketing, a few highlights in my career include:

• Negotiated several MOUs and managed strategic partnerships
• Judge in:
  • Eco-Tourism Awards 2018 & 2019 
  • Judge in Ms. President reality TV show
• Successfully organized the inauguration of Kenya’s 7th World Heritage Site; Migori County 2019
• Developed Nairobi Heritage Walking tours, successfully launched in collaboration with UNESCO and Nairobi County. 
• Introduced selling destination Kenya as the Cradle of Mankind
• Introduced NMK social media platforms including Trip Advisor- a travel website with over 40 million subscribers worldwide. Customer feedback resulted in winning awards recognized internationally
• Developed strategic partnerships with key stakeholders both in Private and Public sector for funding of various projects
  • EPA funding to a tune of Euros 13,000
  • Office of Public Communication “Know Your Country Campaign” that highlighted historic sites amongst other tourist attractions- Kshs. 100M,
  • Sponsorship of Lake Turkana Festival NMK activities by Kenya Tourist Board Kshs. 500,000 and over Kshs. 2M in media sponsorship amongst others thus making the festival a successful annual event that has increased visitation to the area
• Initiated efforts in opening up Northern Kenya as a Tourist destination through Media FAM Trips, organization of cultural festivals and the rallied efforts for Kenya to participate in the Solar Eclipse- a world event that took Kenyans up North
• Steered efforts to develop the Heritage & Cultural Tourism Strategic Plan
• Developed the Historical Tours initiative and successfully steered efforts to include the National Museums of Kenya in the Ministry of Tourism marketing agenda in an effort to market Heritage Tourism
• Organized and steered Public Service Week events in Mombasa, Nairobi, & Kisumu (KPA)
• Pioneered golf tournament sponsorship event management (KPA)
• Developed policies and procedures in sales order processing (TRESU Royse)
• Proposed change management methods that were adopted radically reducing staff turnover and improving customer satisfaction by 80% (Hotel Intercontinental)
