Salim Said

I am a highly oriented urban and regional planner with good communication and interpersonal skills. A good team player who efficiently delivers tasks on time. My goal is to become a reliable tool to drive positive change in the society through public involvement in making decisions on urban dynamics that directly affect them. 

I worked as an intern for eight months at the Lands and Physical Planning department, Garissa County. 

During this period I managed to acquire relevant skills in the processing, preparation until approval of; Physical development plans, County integrated development plans, County Spatial plans Part Development Plans Advisory Plans as well as building plans. 

I am now also acquainted to processing land registration until issuance of title deeds, processing Development Control applications and Development permission   (Subdivision/Amalgamation, Change of user, Extension of User and Extension of Lease) 

I was also exposed to application of GIS where I was able to apply what I learned in school in the real life scenario. I am now able to work effectively with CAD (AutoCAD) and GIS ( ArcGIS) to produce relevant output as far as the above mentioned plans are concerned. 

I have marvelously attained Second Class Honors (Upper Division) the Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning with IT from Maseno University.
