Grainpro Inc Regional Manager/Director– Eastern Africa

June 2010 – July 2020

Opened the Grainpro Kenya office, handled all the administrative processes to have a regional office.

  • Created clear strategies for the region that were adopted to the leader plan.
  • Increased revenue year on year by 20% for 3 niche products
  • Negotiated partnerships and sponsorships with Governments (Ke, Tz, Som) & Donors (GIZ, FAO, WFP, USAID & EU as well as AfDB)
  • Reduced overheads by 10% in 2018 & 19 by creating tele sales point for recurrent sales. 
  • Represented the company in C suite level interactions as well as giving note speeches on behalf of the President of the company in various forums nationally and internationally.
  • Won tenders yearly and a Long-Term Trade Agreement with a Donor agency n 2018
  • Created Logistical networks from the manufacturing plant in Philippines into Kenya.
  • Reduced overhead costs in 2013 by transitioning from bonded warehousing to running a functional warehouse with ease of cargo movement.
  • Created Sales and marketing channels for the company products within Kenya and into Somalia, Tanzania, Congo, Burundi, Mali, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Mozambique, Seychelles 
  • Initiated a local stakeholder meet-up with Agro-dealers that brooked a 4-year PPP tender to offer farmers subsidies in securing their grain crops using hermetic bags.
  • Put the company in the Stakeholder map within the govts & Private sector.
  • Facilitated the company’s record highest sales for the Region year on year
  • Participated in the yearly strategic planning in the Philippines that enabled Grainpro straddle the apex of the hermetic storage market year on year.
  • Participated in an EAGC/KEBS led hermetic standards creation for Kenya and later within the EAC that was the first of it’s kind in the world with Grainpro’s products being used as the mark of quality.
  • Negotiated with NEMA (Kenya’s environment watchbody) for exemptions when plastics were banned.  Aided in the exemption creation both within KRA and NEMA to safeguard farmer’s produce using Grainpro products.
