Philomena Mwasi

I am a counseling psychologist with three years of experience. I graduated from Laikipia University with a bachelor of arts in counseling psychology. My first work experience was in the Gender Violence Recovery Center. I later on enrolled at Amani Counseling Center and Training Institute where I have been able to pursue a diploma in counseling psychology.

May 2019 to November 2019 - Gender Violence Recovery Center (Nairobi Women’s Hospital, Adams) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: One-on-one counseling with the survivors of gender-based violence. Group counseling of survivors of gender-based violence. Pre-test and post-test counseling.

March 2021 to November 2021- Kutoa Project

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Developing training materials. Building curriculums. Developing a crisis program proposal. Facilitating training. Carrying out intake assessments.

November 2021- September 2022- Dandora Girls Secondary School
