Om Richard Omolo Midigo

I am a Kenyan male aged 51 working with the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology as a systems and Digital Services Librarian. I am an Information Systems and Library Technology Specialist with over 15 years of experience in academic and research institutions, where I have led the integration of digital resources, ICT solutions, and innovative library systems. I bring expertise in library management systems, ICT policy development, programming, web design, and research analysis. I hold a BSc Information Science from Moi University, Kenya, a Master of Science from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and currently pursuing a PhD Information Systems at the University of Nairobi, Kenya. My work combines technical proficiency with a passion for teaching, mentoring, and enhancing access to digital information resources.

Head of Library Information Systems (2014–Present, JKUAT): Lead and manage library information systems, oversee integration of digital services, manage KOHA ILS, design and maintain the library website, conduct ICT and e-resources training, implement plagiarism detection tools, and coordinate hardware/software maintenance.

Part-Time Lecturer (2018–Present, JKUAT): Teach courses across multiple faculties, including Data Warehousing & Mining, E-Health, Networking for Health Information Systems, Computer Applications in Medicine, and Programming for Health Applications
