Experience

In my role as a Programme Assistant at Nottawasaga Institute in Nairobi, a distinguished private NGO offering capacity strengthening services to organizations dedicated to sustainable development, I have served diligently over the past five years. During my tenure, I have been involved in three key departments: Human Resource, Administration, and Programmes.

Within the Human Resource and Administration Department, I have played a pivotal role in providing comprehensive administrative support for meetings. This has involved meticulously scheduling and preparing for meetings, as well as taking accurate and concise meeting minutes. In addition, I have been responsible for managing and maintaining the HR database, ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of crucial employee information.

Furthermore, I have been instrumental in organizing and updating file systems to guarantee the efficient retrieval of records. This has involved implementing effective organizational strategies to streamline document storage and retrieval processes. Additionally, I have been actively involved in finance-related tasks, including ledger reconciliations and updates, payroll and benefits management, and statutory payment processing.

Recognizing the importance of staying up to date with evolving policies and procedures, I have taken the initiative to regularly update HR policies. By staying abreast of industry best practices and legal requirements, I have contributed to maintaining a compliant and supportive work environment.

Education

I have obtained a diverse range of qualifications in the field of finance, commerce, and human resource management. In May 2022 to July 2022, I completed the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst program at the Corporate Finance Institute in Canada. Prior to that, I pursued a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Nairobi from September 2017 to December 2021, with a major in Human Resource Management. Additionally, I obtained a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of Nairobi, which was earned from September 2015 to September 2017. Furthermore, I acquired a Certificate in Personnel Management from the University of Nairobi, which was obtained from June 2015 to November 2015.
