About MARY WAIGWA:

Am a Competent and self-motivated individual with 10 + years of work experience in administration and human resource management in areas such as recruiting and hiring new employees, managing training and development initiatives, Create a safe and inclusive work environment. Oversee and manage benefits and compensation, Handle conflicts, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Currently, seeking a more challenging job in Human Resource Management where my skills and expertise will be used and developed further as I contribute toward the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.

 

Experience

  • Recruitment Skills: I have the ability to work with a team of other colleagues ensuring that a good rapport is created. I am also an effective leader with the ability to lead teams and motivate them toward service delivery having acquired skills, flexibility, and adaptability to new environments with honesty and reliability.
  • Confidentiality – I am privy to sensitive information like employees’ personal records and details, performance evaluations, and payroll information. Employees sometimes confide in personal issues such as medical problems, family disputes, or unstable living situations. Plus, HR is often the first department to know about major organizational changes which should be kept confidential.
  • Conflict Resolution -  I am responsible for giving employees a safe space to work through issues and help staff find workable fixes. I should know how to de-escalate tension, encourage active listening, steer the conversation towards solutions, and negotiate a compromise. Effective mediators stay alert for underlying causes of disagreement and explore those points as they arise.
  • Labor laws knowledge -   I am aware of employment trends and labor laws. Human resources departments often manage complex paperwork that can influence how employees get paid and access their benefits. I must be willing to keep up with emerging knowledge in the field to be part of a successful human resources team.
  • Supervisory Skills: I can manage, maintain updates and coordinate the organization and ensure the production of appropriate option appraisals to ensure the most cost-effective solutions and ability to take initiative and lead the team accordingly.
